Brain & Behavior

Technology will change lives for the better, provided it is designed with humans in mind.

We can learn a lot about how people interact with technology by studying their behavior, but for a deep understanding of what the technology demands of us, we must also study the brain processes that underlie this behavior.

I am an ardent supporter of applying neuroimaging and psychophysiology techniques to reveal the cognitive and emotional states that come from interacting with technology. In this way, we can truly design systems that support, rather than confuse, or distract the user.

Understanding the human brain and behavior in the present will revolutionize technology in the future.
